Smashing the Window

The New Zealand Film Commission is organizing this event on October 3rd in Auckland. From their press release:

“Filmmakers, producers and distributors keen to unravel the confusing world of cross-platform film distribution, and to hear the latest techniques and insider tips on internet marketing, are encouraged to attend the New Zealand Film Commission’s one day workshop on digital distribution.”

It will be cheap as chips to attend – NZD $50.00, and it is an all-day event, with guest speakers flying into New Zealand especially for this workshop. You need to register by 26th September.

Amongst the guest speakers is the passionate and knowledgable DIY whizz Brian Chirls, who will also be giving a short talk in Wellington on the subject on October 1st (together with Andy Freeman). This talk is for free, and it takes place at the Film Archive from 12.30 – 2.00 pm. If you are in Wellington, go there, but be sure to come early as seating is available on a first come, first served basis, and the theatre seats only about 100 people. Our own Matt Davis will be there as well, if you want to have a chat with him. Enjoy!
